One very wet but very successful trip out to Windmill Farm for Rob and the horses. Sanssouci took the honours in both Elementary classes, DHI Lightening claimed the Advanced Medium and BamBam not wanting to be left out took first place in the Int 1!! Smiles all around.
The last of the 2017 Winter regionals and today we trucked down to SummerHouse in Gloucestershire. On board was Kirsty Anthony and my own’s, Sanssouci for the Elementary. A rather exuberant test in places saw us fall into 7th place overall. The good bits were very good with 8.5s but unfortunately the bad bits were bad with a couple of 3s. Nothing like a mare to keep you in your place!!
Storm Doris didn’t stop play for Maria Dent’s, Nazareno Vicon at the Addington Manor Winter Regionals. I am over the moon with a 4th place finish out of a large class. Onwards and upwards to Medium now!!
A good result for Fiona Aspland Robinson’s Gasparo M at the Wellington Winter regionals today. A 13th place finish out of 30 with 66+% in the Novice. This was Gasparo’s first time at the regionals and he took it all in his stride, the judges loved him, throwing some great marks at him. Unfortunately two little blips bought the overall percentage down, but what a great horse for the future. Novice most certainly isn’t his end goal.
Well what a super start to the Winter regionals!!! Jen Nissen’s DHI Lightening took home a golden ticket to the Nationals in the Advanced Medium!
Well the Winter regionals are going to be busy for Rob riding 6 horses!!

We are very proud to write that following their good results at the Addington Manor High Profile show, Rob and Brenda Reddy’s BamBam have been added to the Senior list of International Riders. This means they will be competing internationally for Great Britain later this year. Exciting times ahead!!
What a fantastic start to the year for Brenda Reddy’s BamBam.
Last weekend we spent two days at the Addington Manor High Profile show. Posting a 7th place finish in the Inter 1 scoring 67+% and a 6th place finish in the PSG with 68+%!! “I am absolutely over the moon with Bam, he really did try his little heart out and the tiny mistakes were rider not horse,” said Rob
Rob has now been added to the International Riders list to hopefully represent Great Britain later in the year.
Well as 2016 draws to a close and I look back at the past 12 months…what a year it has been!!
Starting in February with fantastic result qualifying both Sanssouci and BamBam for the Winter Championships. At the Championships a 4th place finish for BamBam and a 3rd place for Sanssouci was way beyond my expectations!!
All 3 of the horses were super models for the day with the amazing HannahFreelandPhotography for the new Equilibrium Products Catalogue.
Bambam pulled in some fantastic results at PSG resulting in a win at the Bury Farm High Profile PSG Championship and a 4th place finish in the British Dressage Small Tour Championships.
The Summer regionals weren’t to shabby either with all 3 horses qualifying for the Nationals and Nazareno Vicon claiming his first regional title in a very hot Novice gold class. All pulled in fantastic placings at the finals. Nasareno Vicon kept up his winning streak to take the British Dressage Andalusian Elementary Championship in November.
Our summer series of Unaffiliated Dressage Shows have grown in so much popularity beyond our expectations, dates for 2017 will be released soon.
I have to say a huge thank you to my absolutely amazing owners Brenda & Steve Reddy, Maria & Steve Dent and Kirsty Anthony. Without their fantastic support I wouldn’t be able to have had such an incredible year.
Thank you to my sponsors Equine Essentials Direct, Stuart Equine and Equilibrium Products, for their continue support over the past 12months.
Thank you to Carl Hester & Lisa Hopkins Dressage for their training & support and to my super team of yard girls and support teams.
And finally to all my clients past present and future. We luck forward to welcoming to to Rob Waine Dressage in 2017.
Happy New Year!!! 2017 is going to be quite an exciting year!!
What a super couple of weeks it has been for Brenda Reddy’s BamBam, not only has he qualified for the regionals at Advanced Medium Freestyle, he also finished an extremely credible 4th place in the British Dressage Small Tour Championships held at Houghton Hall. What a super end to a fantastic year.
Another super result today with Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon. Rob and Nasa made the trip to the British Dressage PRE Championships held at Keysoe EC. I am very happy to report that Nazareno came home crowned the Elementary Champion!!!!
It was great to catch up with the guys from Dressage Anywhere, on training with Carl Hester and gaining sponsorship with Equine Essentials Direct. Check out the article here:Â http://ow.ly/DmaQ305uNu9
Another super morning competing, this time at Windmill Farm. Both horses were super super, what stars they both were… Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon was certainly flying the Spanish flag taking home two red rosettes; E45 71.37% & E59 72.65%!!! Sanssouci has to settle for second place in both but with fab scores of; E45 69.48% & E59 72.03%!!! That’s both qualified for the winter regionals
Two red rosettes for Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon in the Elementarys at Snowball Farm today, E45 70.69% & E59 69.69%. This boy just keeps getting stronger and stronger.. Sanssouci contended her first Elementarys posting two good scores of E45 68.45% & E59 69.07%, some little blips in her tests so over the moon with the scores. Lots of carrots for both horses this evening 🙂 Off again on Wednesday to Windmill Farm to hopefully complete our qualification.
What a busy week it has been here at RWD. Rob and Sanssouci went for training at Carl’s on Wednesday. It was a super session and Cici is really starting to strengthen and take the weight behind. Thumbs up from the master 🙂 Yesterday Rob competed Brenda Reddy’s BamBam and Jennifer Nissen’s DHI Lightening in the Advanced Mediums at a very wet Windmill Farm. Both boys brought home the goods between them getting two 1sts, one 2nd and a 3rd. Some tiny mistakes but that my have been down to the monsoon that was happening at the same time. All qualified for the regionals in one outing, clever ponies..
Rob and the horses had a fantastic couple of days last week at the National Championships. Rob and Kirsty Anthony’s Sanssouci finished 10th in a very hot Novice Gold class. Maria Dent’s Nazareno Vicon put in a fantastic test, also in the Novice Gold. Brenda Reddy’s BamBam was hot, hot, hot in the Medium Gold. The test was very accurate but the atmosphere just got him causing tension that brought the overall mark down. We were over the moon with how well the horses went.
So another year is over for the RWD Summer Dressage Series, kindly sponsored by Equine Essentials Direct, Stuart Equine, Chiltern Vet Physio and Hannah Freeland Photography. The points have been counted and checked and we are very happy to announce that the winner of the 2016 league is: Caroline Fallows!! Huge congratulations to Caroline, second place goes to Tracey Fleming and third, Angela Cremin. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the 2017 series.
Super result today at the Bury Farm Summer High Profile Show today. Brenda Reddy’s BamBam won the Summer PSG Championships!!! We are absolutely over the moon with the result, there are still a couple of areas that I would like to improve on but considering this is was only his 4th run at this level, what a result!!!
What a regionals!!! Maria Dent’s 6yr old Spanish Stallion, Nazareno Vicon has become Regional Champion after winning the Bury Farm Novice Gold regionals on a huge score of 74%!! Not to be outdone Rob and Kirsty Anthony’s Sanssouci and Brenda Reddy’s BamBam also scooped those golden tickets to the Nationals in September. With three horses its going to be a busy week!!!
